Pondicherry Electricity Per Unit Rate 2023-24:
As per the latest announcement by the py electricity the consumer shall pay units to ₹ 2.25 per units for the first 100 units and the for the next 100 units they have used from ₹ 3.25. and the remaining units of next 100 units the user shall pay ₹ 5.4 per units and the above 300 units your per unit charges will be ₹ 6.8/-.

Commercial Per Unit Rate 2023-24:
The commercial consumer shall pay ₹6 for one unit from the consumption of 0 to 100 units. ₹7.05 for 101 to 150 units, ₹7.8 for the above 251 units.

Additional Charges:
Additionally the consumer shall pay 5% of surcharges and 0.4 per unit of FPPCA charge.
Py Electricity Bill Calculation As per 2023-24:
Calculate the energy bill as per the latest tariff 2023-24 for an LT residential consumer who consumed 352 units with demand load of 2kW.
Here for the first 100 units your cost is ₹ 225/- (100 x 2.25), next 100 units your cost will be ₹ 325/- (100 x 3.25), next 100 units ₹ 540/- (100 x 5.4) and remaining 52 units it costs ₹ 353.6/- (52 x 6.8). The total electricity bill will be ₹ 1719.58/-

There is a fixed surcharge of 4% (of previous bill value) that is added to current bill. JDEC has an approval under certain stipulated conditions but PY charges flatly.

2022-23 tarriffs are revised further. New rates effective from 01/04/2022. The fixed charges are getting even more Cryptic.
