West Bengal Electricity Bill Calculator:

West Bengal electricity Calculation:
In West Bengal state has two electricity supply sector such as West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) and Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation or CESC. Both companies are applying different tariff rates with different slaps. In that, CESE is the flagship company and the price per unit is higher than the WBSEDCL.
West Bengal Electricity Board has released the latest tariff order for benefiting the domestic and commercial consumer and they have reduced their rate. Let us see the latest tariff order of WBSEDCL.
WBSEDCL Per unit rate for LT Domestic Rural consumer 2025-26:
According to that the consumer shall pay ₹4.1 for the consumption of 0-102 units, for next 80 units between 102-180, the per unit charges will be ₹5.34, for consumption between 181-300 unit the charges will be ₹ 6.15 per unit like that for 301-600 unit the charges for ₹ 6.65, for Above 600 units (remaining all) the per unit charges will be ₹6.81/-

Note that the tariff works based on the slap basis which means when your consumption is more than the first slab, and then the rate of the first slap will be multiplied with the first slab units and the same will be added with the next slap.
For example, if your consumption is 105 unit means, the first slap rate of 0 to 102 units’ price of 4.1 and for the remaining units, the price is 5.34/-
WBSEDCL Per unit rate for LT Domestic Urban consumer:
Urban consumer shall pay for the consumption between 0-102 units, it will be ₹ 4.15 and it is ₹ 0.05 more than rural tariff. For 102-180 units, the per unit charges is ₹ 5.37/-, for 181-300, ₹ 6.38, for 301-600 unit ₹ 6.73/-, for the above 900 units the cost will be 6.89 /-.

Commercial rural consumer:
For commercial consumer shall be chargeable 0 to 60 units, it will be ₹ 4.31, 61 to 100 the commercial per unit charges will be ₹4.72, for 101 to 300 the per unit charges will be ₹4.92, for above 300 units the consumer has to pay ₹ 5.05.

In Addition with that, the consumer shall pay fuels charges as 0.29 paise per unit, fixed charges as mentioned in table, duty 10% of your energy bill and meter rent.
Note: We have not taken the entire category tariff rate. We have just taken the domestic and commercial unit rate in LT and HT (11kV, 33kV and 132kV).
DPL Consumer Tariff Order:
Tariff rate for the year 2025-26 for Lifeline (Domestic) consumer as per scheme called “HASIR ALO” and for Domestic(Rural),Domestic(Urban) & Agriculture (Irrigation)
consumers having monthly consumption upto 300 unit under WBSEDCL excluding erstwhile DPL area after giving subsidy as stated by the State Govt.
The Durgapur Projects Limited company consumer shall pay ₹3.45 for the consumption of 0-25 units, for next 25 units between 25-50, the per unit charges will be ₹4.2, for consumption between 50-100 unit the charges will be ₹ 4.67 per unit like that for 201-300 unit the charges for ₹ 4.86, for above 300 units the ₹ 4.86.

WBSEDCL Bill Calculation:
Let us consider you (Rural) have used 560 units, calculate the total electricity bill as per WBSEDCL tariff rate for the year of 2025-2026.
Solution:
In Addition with that, the consumer shall pay MVCA charges, Duty, Fixed charges (Month*Connected Load*Rate per KW), and meter rent.
Also additionally, the consumer has to pay ₹ 30 per kW per month as fixed charges and the consumer shall pay 0.29 paisa per unit as variable charges (MVCA), 15 per month as meter rent and 10% as government duty.
Hence finally your bill amount is ₹ 3899.292/-
