Average Acceleration Formula:

The Average Acceleration A(m/s2) in meter per second square is equal to the Initial Acceleration Ai(m/s2) in meter per second square to Addition of Final Acceleration Af(m/s2) in meter per second square and then Divided by the value of 2.

The Formula of Average Acceleration can be written as,

A(m/s2) = ( Ai(m/s2) + Af(m/s2) ) / 2

Here,

A(m/s2) = Average Acceleration in meter per second square

Ai(m/s2) = Initial Acceleration in meter per second square

Af(m/s2) = Final Acceleration in meter per second square

Average Acceleration Calculation :

1)Calculate the Average Acceleration and given for Initial Acceleration = 100m/s2 , Final Acceleration = 80m/s2.

A = ( Ai + Af ) / 2

A = ( 100 + 80 ) / 2

A = 90m/s2.
