Nagaland Electricity rate per unit:

NERC electricity board has 4 types of tariff slaps for LT residential/domestic consumers. And they are,

• For the first 30 units, the rate per unit will be ₹ 3.65
• Next 31 to 100 units, the per-unit cost will be ₹ 4.85
• Next 101 to 250 the unit cost will be ₹ 5.95
• Above all 200 units, the per-unit cost will be ₹ 6.85

Also, Fixed charges for the rural consumer is ₹ 100/kW/month & for urban consumer ₹ 140 per month/month/connection additionally along with your electricity bill. Look at the table,

The good news is that NERC do not charge electricity duty for their consumer.

NERC Electricity Bill calculation:

Example:

Calculate the total electricity for the Rural consumer whose power consumption is 856 units with a connected load of 5kW.

Loot at the table for the first 30 units power consumption is 109.5 (30 x 3.65), for the next 70 units the cost is 339.5/- (70 x 4.85), for the next 150 units the bill amount is 892.5/- (150 x 5.95) and the remaining 606 units, the electricity cost is 4151.1/-. In addition to that, the consumer shall pay fixed charges per month 500/- (100 x 5).

Finally, The rural consumer shall pay 5992.60/- as electricity bill for the consumption of 856 units.

For Urban Consumer:

Here, for the same consumption of energy, the urban consumer shall pay 6192.60/- as electricity bill.
