Tv = √ ( ( 40+50)^{2} + ( 20+30)^{2} )

Tv = 102.95m/s.

2)Calculate the y-component of velocity and given for x-component of velocity = 40m/s & 50m/s , True Velocity = 102.95m/s.

Solution

Tv = SQRT ( (X1+X2)^{2} + (Y1+Y2)^{2 })

Tv = √ ( ( 40+50)^{2} + ( Y1+Y2)^{2} )

Y1 = 20m/s.

Y2 = 30m/s.
