Acceleration from the Coefficient of Friction Calculator:
Enter the values of Moving Force MF(N), Mass of the object gravity m(kg) & Coefficient of Friction cf to determine the value of Acceleration from the Coefficient of Friction A(m/s2).
Acceleration from the Coefficient of Friction Formula:
The Acceleration from the Coefficient of Friction A(m/s2) in meter per second square is Equal to the Moving Force MF(N) in Newton is Subtracted by the Mass of the object m(kg) in kilogram and Multiply the gravity g(9.81m/s2) in meter per second square and again Multiply the Coefficient of Friction cf into Divided by the Mass of the object m(kg) in kilogram.
The Formula of Acceleration from the Coefficient of Friction can be written as,
A(m/s2) = ( MF(N) – ( m(kg) * g(9.81m/s2) * cf ) ) / m(kg)
Here,
A(m/s2) = Acceleration from the Coefficient of Friction in meter per second square
MF(N) = Moving Force in Newton
m(kg) = Mass of the object in kilogram
g(9.81m/s2) = gravity in meter per second square
cf = Coefficient of Friction ( no unit )
Acceleration from the Coefficient of Friction Calculation :
1)Calculate the Acceleration from the Coefficient of Friction and given for Moving Force = 500N , Mass of the object = 10kg , Coefficient of Friction = 8.
Answer
A = ( MF – ( m * g * cf ) ) / m
A = ( 500 – ( 10 * 9.81 * 8 ) ) / 10
A = 28.48m/s2.
2)Calculate the Coefficient of Friction and given for Moving Force = 500N , Mass of the object = 10kg , Acceleration from the Coefficient of Friction = 28.48m/s2.
Answer
A = ( MF – ( m * g * cf ) ) / m
28.48 = ( 500 – ( 10 * 9.81 * cf ) ) / 10
cf = 8.
