Torque (Nm) to kW calculation:

Motor power P(kW) in kilowatt is equal to motor torque T(Nm) times of 0.105 times of the speed divided by 1000. The torque to kW conversion formula can be written as,

The motor power P(kW) = 0.105* T(Nm)*N(rpm) / 1000

kW = 0.105 x Nm x rpm / 1000.

Example:

A three-phase induction motor can provide 144Nm at 1480 rpm. Calculate the motor rating in kilowatt.
