Connected Load Calculation:

Connected load nothing but a summation of rated capacity of all electrical device installed in the premises. The connected load formula can be written as,

Connected Load = Load₁ + Load₂ + Load₃ ……+ Load_N

Example:

A consumer has load of 1.5kW, 2.5kW, 0.5kW and 2 kW, calculate the connected load.

Connected load = 1.5kW + 2.5kW + 0.5kW +2kW = 6.5kW
