### Voltage Divider Calculator:

A voltage divider circuit is a very common circuit, It takes a high voltage and turns it down using a pair of resistors. The formula for calculating the output voltage is based on Ohm’s law and is shown below.

Voltage dividers are devices in which the current passing through several devices connected in series is constant, but the voltage is divided between them in a circuit.

RR divider is suitable for DC circuits. Here, impedance can be considered as a gap in the circuit with zero resistance and capacitor work. Learn simple steps to find output voltage in voltage divider and its formula.

Use the voltage divider calculator. The following sections help derive the voltage divider rule, capacitive and inductive voltage divider equations and applications of voltage dividers.

### Voltage Divider Calculator:

Voltage Divider calculator is the output voltage measured Vout(v) in volts is equal to the source voltage Vs(v) in volts and multiply the resistance of the 2nd resistor R2(oh) in ohms and divided by the resistance of the 1st resistor measured R1(oh) in ohms and addition the resistance of the 2nd resistor measured R2(oh) in ohms.Hence the voltage Divider calculator formula can be written as

Vout(v) = Vs(v) * R2(oh) / (R1(oh) +R2(oh))

Vs = is the source voltage measured in volts in v

R1 = is the resistance of the 1st resistor, measured in ohms

R2 = is the resistance of the 2nd  resistor, measure in ohms

Vout = is the output voltage measured in volts

### Example:1

Calculate the sources voltage 25v and the resistance 1st resistor 45 Ω, and the resustance 2nd resistor 24 Ω.Find the output voltage ?

Sources voltage =25v

Resistance 1st resistant =45 Ω

Resistance 2nd resistant =24 Ω

By using formula

Vout(v) = Vs(v) * R2(oh) / (R1(oh) +R2(oh))

Vout = 25 *24 / (45+24)

Vout =600 /69

Vout =8.6956 v

### Example:2

Calculate the sources voltage 18v and the resistance 1st resistor 78Ω, and the resustance 2nd resistor 96 Ω.Find the output voltage ?

Sources voltage = 18v

Resistance 1st resistant = 78Ω

Resistance 2nd resistant = 96Ω

By using formula

Vout(v) = Vs(v) * R2(oh) / (R1(oh) +R2(oh))

Vout = 18 *96 / (78+96)

Vout =1728 /174
