# Resonant Frequency Formula, Calculation of LC Circuit, Example

### Resonant Frequency Formula:

If you want to calculate the resonant frequency of an LC circuit, look no further – this resonant frequency calculator is the tool for you. Frequency can be checked for inductance capacitor circuit. To check the resonance frequency, find the reciprocal of the obtained product

The resonant frequency is the frequency observed in the LC circuit. This is the natural frequency of the system. The resonant frequency is defined as the frequency at which the transfer function reaches its maximum value. Different types of vibrations are electrical, optical, mechanical, orbital and molecular.

Enter the inductance and capacitance and in no time you will see the resonance and angular frequency. Follow the steps given below to easily obtain the resonant frequency for an LC circuit.

• Find the inductance and capacitance of the LC circuit.
• Multiply both inductance and capacitance.
• Apply the square root of the product.
• Multiply the result again by 2π.

### Resonant Frequency Formula:

Resonant frequency formula is F(mHZ) in mega Hertz  is equal to the one divided by the 2π in value 3.14 and multiply the root of inductance L(mH) in meter per Henry and multiply the capacitance c(f) in farad.Hence the Resonant frequency formula can be written as

F(mHZ) =1 / [ 2π *√(L(mH)*c(f))

F= is the Resonant Frequency in mHz

L= is the inductance in mH

C= is the capacitance in Farad

### Example:1

Determine the resonant frequency of an Lc circuit that has an inductor of 6 H and capacitor of 9F

Inducantance L =6H

Capacitance c =9 f

By using formula

F(mHZ) =1 / [ 2π *√(L(mH)*c(f))

F= 1/2π √ (6*9)

Resonant frequency f =0.02166922HZ

### Example:2

Determine the resonant frequency of an Lc circuit that has an inductor of 250 H and capacitor of 89 F

Inducantance L =250H

Capacitance c = 89 f

By using formula

F(mHZ) =1 / [ 2π *√(L(mH)*c(f))

F= 1/2π √ (250 *89)
