An RC circuit is a combination of a resistor and a capacitor. It is a circuit where a resistor is connected in series with a capacitor of capacitance. The characteristic frequency has two applications. They are used as RC circuit filter and capacitor charging time.

### Rc Circuit Formula:

Rc circuit of the characteristic frequency F_{(MHz)} in Mega Hertz is equal to the one divided by two and multiply the 2π in value 3.14 and multiply the resistance of the resistor R_{(oh)} in ohm and multiply the capacitance of the capacitor C_{(f)} in farad.Hence the Rc circuit formula can be written as

F_{(MHz)} = 1/ (2 π * R_{(oh)} * C_{(f)})

C= is the capacitance of the capacitor in farad

F = is the characteristic frequency in Hertz

The capacitor charge time formula is t =R *C

Given that

Resistance R =65Ω

Capacitance c = 46F

Convert the capacitance 65 = farads to microfarads

To convert multiply capacitance with 1000000

Capacitance =65 * 1000000 microfarads

Capacitance =65000000 microfarads

Characteristic Frequency F = F = 1/ (2 π * R * C)

F= 1/ (2 π * 46 *65000000)

F= 5.32290 *10^{-11} mega Hertz (MHz)

The capacitance and resistance in the RC circuit are 97 Ω ,125F.Find the characteristic frequency?

Given that

Resistance R =97Ω

Capacitance c = 125F

Convert the capacitance 125 = farads to microfarads

To convert multiply capacitance with 1000000

Capacitance =125 * 1000000 microfarads

Capacitance =125000000 microfarads

Characteristic Frequency F = F = 1/ (2 π * R * C)

F= 1/ (2 π * 97 *125000000)
